Only the redacted content is sent for AI analysis. The original packet is deleted from the browser before analysis begins.
ReferralReview is designed to analyze redacted content without PHI. ReferralReview does not currently claim HIPAA compliance.
You can verify this yourself: after ReferralReview loads, disconnect from the internet before PHI removal. The original packet can still be processed and previewed locally. Reconnect only when you’re ready to send the redacted content for analysis.
ReferralReview uses review criteria based on CMS Medicare home health rules. AI organizes the packet, finds supporting evidence, and flags items as found, missing, or unclear with source-page citations. It does not invent requirements, determine Medicare eligibility, or accept/reject referrals — the final decision stays with your team.
